Een groep vrienden besliste in 2011 om in Boechout een wijngaard aan te leggen. Het plan werd sceptisch onthaald, maar vandaag bewijst Wijndomein Oud Conynsbergh dat ook in Antwerpen veelbelovende wijnen gemaakt worden.
