De getijdenmolen werd in 1517 gebouwd dankzij een octrooi van de Habsburgse vorsten. De getijdenmolen had twee houten waterraden. De dubbelmolen maalde op de rechteroever rogge en boomschors en op de linkeroever tarwe.
